THE FOLKS behind the Tweak festival - an interactive art and live electronic music festival which has been held over the last two years in Limerick - return to the live scene with a special Tweak party this Friday night in Shannon Rowing Club, featuring innovative electronic producer ‘Boxcutter’.
Barry Lynn a.k.a Boxcutter - is an electronic producer from Northern Ireland who has proved his adeptness at handling and interweaving electronica with dub culture, as seen from his four albums, most recently on last year’s Arecibo Message, released on the Planet Mu label.
Heavily influenced by Aphex Twin and Squarepusher, Lynn’s sound is difficult to pin down, but is certainly one of the most exciting electronic musicians on the live circuit.
Joining Boxcutter for this very special gig will be local DJs Code (Subtle Audio and Nu Killa Kru) and Brigadier JC (Roots Factory), while extra special live visuals, mixing still and live video, with animation, will be by the superb Japanese Cat.
This is one not to miss. The Tweak! Party takes place this Friday in Shannon Rowing Club at 9pm.
